A Comfortable Newborn Session
Newborn sessions are by far the hardest sessions for most photographer's - whether it's a fussy baby or just the amount of equipment needed for the session, they are always intense. Even though a lot of work goes into these sessions, the final product is completely priceless. Babies are newborns for such a short amount of time and usually when we conduct these sessions, the little babe has hardly adjusted to his or her new life yet. Here is how I suggest having a comfortable

My Baby Friends' Baby
My baby friend had {another} BABY! I am so excited for her and her little family. Baby Luke was born early so he is a little babe, but he was so incredibly sweet and charming. Big sister Kate loved the whole photo session process and we even got her to smile a couple times! And, I can't forget to mention the fact that they now have TWO under TWO.
Thank you to my baby friend for having her own baby..... AND letting me take pictures. Here are just a few of my favorites: #Cano

2017 in a Nutshell
It is hard to believe that just a few short months ago I launched my very own photography business. It still feels weird when people ask me what I do now that I left my full-time job... I find myself not being able to say "I'm a photographer" and I usually end up saying "I take photos". I'm not quite sure when I'll make the transition to saying "I'm a photographer" or if it will even happen! I still have a lot to learn but am so pleased with how far I have come since this sum

When your friends make you cry... in a good way!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I am so excited to share that my friends made me cry... IN A GOOD WAY! Check out a few of my friends who sent us Christmas cards with photos I took of them! #CanonMark #ChristmasCards #SupportSystem #Family #Photos #Amateur #MyFirstYear

Pinterest-worthy Couple | Jamie & Todd
Before I even begin this one - let's just say Jamie and Todd are two of the most beautiful people I have ever met... THEN we start taking photos and they are the CUTEST couple I have ever met. We were off to a pretty good start. :-) Most of the time engagement sessions can be awkward with long stares, holding kisses for way longer than normal and other weird things... but not these two! They genuinely enjoyed their time, stares and kisses. Thank you both so much for such an a

Colten + Maryann | Engagement & Family
Their family may be little but there is so much love between these three my heart could hardly handle it! Colten and Maryann are just beginning their lives as an engaged couple and parents to sweet little Kynlynn - isn't she beautiful! Oh - not to mention... how amazing are their pups!? #Engaged #Engagement #CanonRebel #Kids #Photos #Family

The Elliott Family | Family Photos
Danielle has been in our lives for over three years! She was James' teacher the day I dropped him off at daycare for the very first time {and then cried in the hallway for 30 minutes while he laughed and played inside the Giraffe room}. Danielle and her husband Kamon (who is the best Uber driver ever if anyone needs a personal chauffeur) have 3 kids and hadn't taken family pictures in over 6 years! Jase, Nolan and Tinsley are super well-behaved and respectful... not to mentio

Renee + Michael | Engagement Photos
I put out a call for models... I needed an engaged couple that would be willing to do all of the cheesiness that is an Engagement Session without any concrete vision or really any hope that the photos would even turn out. THANK YOU RENEE AND MICHAEL! They came, they posed, they loved and they got free photos! Honestly, I had no idea how the pictures were going to turn out... but when I got home to edit, it was the first time I thought to myself "wow, I may be able to do this"

My Leap into Photography
I bought my Canon Rebel in 2011 -- 6 years ago! I would go in spurts of taking photos at family holidays and then it would go back in my camera bag for months on end. About 6 weeks ago, I made the decision to learn how to use my camera better. Then, I made the decision to venture into Manual Mode... (GASP!) My world changed. For the first time in 6 years, I knew how to take picture that I manipulated with my camera settings. It was like a light bulb went off in my head and it
